SHARED CHARTER | Half Day Trip (AM or PM Charter Offered)

Perfect for solo anglers or small groups who want to enjoy a full offshore fishing experience without booking a private trip. Join fellow fishing enthusiasts and chase Snapper, Grouper, Sharks, and more 15–30 miles off the coast.

NOTE: We MUST have at least 4 people booked in order for a Shared Charter Trip to run!

PRIVATE CHARTER | Half Day Trip

Want a fully personalized experience? A private charter gives you full access to the boat with a customized itinerary based on your group’s preferences.

Our 6 hour trip off shore includes bottom fishing for specific fish in season like Vermillion snapper, Red Snapper, Grouper, Trigger fish, AmberJack, and more. Depending on the day there might be time to do some trolling for other fish like Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerel.

Charter start time is 5:30am for the morning trip or 1:00pm for the afternoon trip. This trip can accommodate up to 6 people.

PRIVATE CHARTER | Long Day Trip

8 hrs

On our 8 hour trip off shore we will start with bottom fishing for specific fish in season such as Vermillion snapper, Red Snapper, Grouper, Trigger fish, Amberjack, and much more. Afterwards if desired we can do some trolling for other fish like Mahi-Mahi, wahoo, king mackerel, and more.

Charter start time is 5:30am. This trip can accommodate up to 6 people.

PRIVATE CHARTER | Full Day Trip

10 hrs

Our 10 hour trip includes venturing out to deeper waters roughly 50 miles to bottom fish in over 500 feet of water for yellowedge grouper, snowy grouper, golden tile fish, & more. There's also the option to troll for mahi-mahi & wahoo. This is a great trip for anyone wanting to experience a full day of fishing as well as the potential for catching a wide variety of species.

Price includes 4 people, $50pp extra for additional people up to 6.

Start time is 5:30am. This trip can accommodate up to 6 people.

TRIP TO THE FADS

Salty Tail Charters offers an exciting fishing experience for both seasoned anglers and beginners looking to target big game fish. Born and raised in New Hampshire, Captain Tyler Holmes was brought to Florida by the United States Air-Force, and is a proud U.S. veteran with a lifelong passion for fishing. After years of fishing offshore, Tyler turned his love for the ocean into a career—now guiding unforgettable fishing adventures along the beautiful Destin coast. Tyler brings expert knowledge, steady leadership, and a deep respect for the water to every trip. When he’s not on the water, you’ll find him off-roading or spending quality time with his wife and their three amazing kids.

FAQs

Where do we meet for our fishing charter?

All trips depart from Adventure Marina, located at 1201B Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early.

How far offshore will we be fishing?

Depending on your trip, we typically fish 15 to 30 miles offshore for Snapper, Grouper, and more. For FAD trips targeting big game fish like Tuna and Marlin, we travel up to 70 miles offshore.

What do we need to bring?

We provide all fishing gear, bait, licenses, and ice. You’ll just need to bring your own food, drinks, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and any personal items you may need for the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 72 hours before your scheduled trip for a full deposit refund.

Cancellations within 72 hours will be charged a $150 fee.

Cancellations on the day of the trip will result in the full balance being charged.

Can I keep the fish we catch?

Yes! You are welcome to keep your legal catch. We’ll even clean and bag your fish for you at no extra charge. (Please note: some species are seasonal and regulated.)

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is our top priority. If Captain Tyler determines that weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a full refund.
